EL's Best Player Named Monday, July 6th , 2048 When it came to hitting the baseball, Jamie Spangenberg was in a class by himself in the Eastern League this past week. Nobody did it better. The outstanding right fielder for Columbus tagged opposing pitchers for a .538 average and was voted the Player of the Week Award. Included in his stats were 14 hits in 26 at-bats, 6 homers, 11 runs scored and 15 RBIs. For the year Spangenberg is hitting .438 with 29 home runs. His stats include 52 runs batted in and 47 runs scored. |
