Hamada Goes on Rampage Against Pirates Thursday, July 16th , 2048 The ThunderBolts whipped the Pirates 12-3 at Chester Ballpark and Kaoru Hamada had a big hand in the win. The ThunderBolts center fielder came to the plate 5 times and collected 5 hits. It was a good day for Hamada and a tough day for Chester. "I just go up there and whale away and hope it hits the barrel of the bat," he said. "There really isn't any plan." Plan or not, Hamada delivered today -- 5-for-5 is outstanding in any league. Kaoru Hamada doubled in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, hit a two-run double in the 5th, hit a three-run home run off Angel Juarez in the 7th and hit an RBI double in the 9th. This year Hamada is hitting .302 with 5 home runs and 26 RBIs to his credit. He has gotten on base at a .368 clip and scored 28 runs. |
