Gasca Slaps 5 Hits Tuesday, July 28th , 2048 It was high-fives all around for Ernesto Gasca at Niagara Falls Casino & Resort today. He got them from his teammates and he got them at the plate during an outstanding hitting performance against the Niagara Falls Phantoms. Gasca smashed 5 hits in 5 at-bats on his monster day, leading his club to a 12-6 win. "Ernesto was hitting everything," said Pirates manager Chris Peterson. "It really was a special game for him." In the opposing dugout, Phantoms manager Tyler Heineman told BNN beat writers that Gasca "ambushed" the club. "Obviously we didn't have much success against him, but we'll have another chance," the skipper said. "Hopefully, Gasca oversleeps next time." Ernesto Gasca singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Jordan Cane in the 6th and singled in the 9th. In 11 starts this season Gasca has registered a 6-2 record and a 2.22 ERA. |
