Spangenberg Captures EL Batter of Month Award Saturday, August 1st , 2048 Jamie Spangenberg has a lot going for him. The Columbus right fielder just broke into the majors this year and now the Eastern League has just picked him as its top hitter for July. In 23 games last month this outstanding rookie batted .435 with 11 home runs, 25 RBIs and 26 runs scored. In his season totals Spangenberg has 35 home runs and a .427 batting average. |
