Thursday, August 27th , 2048
The number just keeps getting higher.
Amarillo catcher Ryan Salas has now extended his hitting string to 20 games. He did it today with 3 hits in 4 at-bats as the Amarillo took the 6-1 win over the Americus Braves at Ballpark of Amarillo.
"Who knows how long it will go on?" Americus manager Jaime Krempa said. "He's certainly tough to pitch to right now." Ryan Salas grounded out in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Danny Sosa in the 5th and singled in the 7th.
In the current season, Salas has put up a .339 batting average with 103 hits, 20 home runs, 65 runs batted in and scored 67 runs.
