Madison Brewers second baseman Troy Morin put on a dazzling display of power today at Andrew Wray Stadium against the Kelowna Heat. In the 25-0 Brewers victory Morin penned his name into the record books, slamming a trio of home runs in one of baseball's finest single-day efforts.

"He can hit them out anywhere, right, center, left, it doesn't matter," Kelowna manager Hichori Toyama said. "He's super strong and stays on the ball so well."

Along with his three home runs, the 20-year-old had 3 hits in 4 at-bats, 7 RBIs and 3 runs scored.

"Life will always throw you curves, just keep fouling them off," Morin said after the game, when asked about his hitting philosophy. "The right pitch will come, and when it does, be prepared to run the bases. Or trot around them, like I did today."

Troy Morin hit a two-run home run off James Jenkins in the 1st, walked in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Jerry Schlaak in the 4th, struck out in the 5th and hit a GRAND SLAM off Jerry Schlaak in the 6th.

This season in 13 games Morin is batting .500 with 6 home runs, 12 RBIs and has scored 10 times.
