WL's #1 Player Named Monday, October 5th , 2048 Oakland Oaks third baseman Chris King walked away with the Western League Player of the Week Award today after putting up some impressive numbers over the past seven days. "The Oaks fans are really behind me right now," said the 18-year-old. "That helps. They give you the confidence to go out there and do better." King batted .536 (15-for-28) with 4 home runs and 11 RBIs this week on his way to the award. For the year King has hit at a .211 clip with 60 RBIs, 20 home runs and 44 runs scored. |
