Matsui Bombs 3 HR Against Americus
Sunday, October 25th , 2048
The "hardest feat in sports" debate is a never-ending one with no correct answer, but hitting three home runs is certainly in the conversation. That's exactly what Taki Matsui did today at Ballpark of Victoria, going deep three times and carrying his team to victory, 10-6.
"It all came together. I was seeing the ball well and I got some good pitches to hit," Matsui said. "Good things happen, when that happens."
The Victoria Capitals first baseman blistered the Americus Braves for 3 hits, batted in 6 runs and scored 3 times.
"It ain't like we weren't trying," Americus manager Jaime Krempa said. "He was hot and really torched my boys today."
Taki Matsui grounded out in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Danny Sosa in the 5th, hit a three-run home run off Outa Tamura in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off Ben Woods in the 8th.
For the year Matsui is batting .311 with 94 hits and 61 home runs. He has scored 89 times and driven in 118.
