Goldeyes Win Semi-Finals Tuesday, November 3rd , 2048 The Winnipeg Goldeyes took time to celebrate with the Winnipeg fans who stuck around after the game, following the team's Semi-Finals triumph over the York Revolution. Members of the Goldeyes hung around chatting, high-fiving and taking pictures with the Winnipeg fans in attendance at Revolution Field, long after the last pitch had been thrown in their 4-2 win to seal the series 4-1. "We've got great fan support," said second baseman Settan Nakamura. "Whether we're at home or on the road, the fans support us. So we wanted to show them how important that is to us. Some York fans that were there even congratulated us on the win." For the series, Nakamura hit .381 with a .435 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, 6 RBI and scored 7 runs. Things weren't so cordial on the Revolution side of things. Their clubhouse was closed to media after the game and all players and coaches quickly dressed and left the stadium after the end to their season. The World Series matchups and schedule will be announced after the Semi-Finals finishes. |
