EL Awards Most Valuable Player Award, Chmieleski Gets Prize
Saturday, November 28th , 2048
The manager of the Chester Pirates said he thinks Zach Chmieleski is only going to get better as he gets older.

He may only be 24, but it will be hard to top the first baseman's 2048 campaign, as he has been named the winner of the Eastern League Most Valuable Player Award.

His winning campaign featured a .398 batting average and a .528 on-base percentage this year. In 134 games he piled up 172 hits, 19 doubles, 1 triple, 86 home runs, 164 RBIs and 135 runs scored.

He received 30 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Jean-Claude Vanbiesbrouck of the York Revolution finished second in voting, while Jamie Spangenberg of the Columbus Reds finished third.
