University of Conneticut Moves on to World Series Thursday, February 6th , 2048 A 6-2 triumph at J. O. Christian Field has wrapped up the Semi-Final for the University of Conneticut Huskies. "We're off to the World Series," said Huskies right fielder Greg James, who was named series MVP after his club eliminated the Mississippi State University Bulldogs by a series score of 3-1. "You can never take a win in a series like this for granted," he said. The University of Conneticut Huskies don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the University of Nebraska Cornhuskers - University of Florida Gators series. That series is tied at 2 games apiece. The World Series schedule will be announced after the Semi-Final finishes. |
