October's Best Rookie in a Class by Himself Sunday, November 1st , 2048 Coastal Carolina University starter Mitsuaki Fukunaga really threw the ball well in October, earning himself the nod as Sub League 2 Rookie of the Month. The 13-year-old had 2 wins and no losses in 17 innings, put up 17 strikeouts, and issued 3 walks. He also crafted a fine 0.53 ERA and held opposing hitters to a .153 batting average. Thus far this season Fukunaga has registered 22 relief appearances, worked 25.1 innings, struck out 27 and issued 5 walks. He has 11 saves with a 1.07 ERA and a 4-0 won-lost mark. |
