ORI Star of the Week Chosen Monday, December 14th , 2048 It was a fantastic week for University of Nebraska right fielder Zion Jones and it was capped off today with the announcement that he was named the winner of the Division 1 Player of the Week Award. Last week Jones hammered the ball at a torrid .417 pace, going 5-for-12 with 3 home runs, 7 RBIs and 4 runs scored. So far this season Jones is batting .308 with 17 home runs, 53 RBIs and 60 runs scored. He has 91 hits in 295 at-bats, 50 walks and a .433 OBP. Jones has played in 85 games. |
