Dominant Performance by Hamilton in Detroit Win
|
The Detroit Tigers picked up a win at Comerica Park, knocking off the Oakland Athletics, 4-1. Starting pitcher Adrian Hamilton played a key role in the triumph. Luis Brown earned the save for Detroit, his 9th of the year. Detroit, now 18-12, has gotten their season off to a good start.
Hamilton scattered 2 hits over 7.2 innings for the Tigers. With the win, Hamilton goes to 3-0 on the year with 41 strikeouts.
Hamilton told a Detroit Chronicle reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
