Pittsburgh Edges Miami, 1-0, Bernal Ks 11
|
The Pittsburgh Pirates got a strong performance from pitcher Felix Bernal, who stymied the Miami offense en route to a win, 1-0, at Marlins Park. Jeremy Kennie earned the save, his 6th. Pittsburgh has a mark of 17-14 after the win.
Bernal worked his mojo for Pittsburgh. The hard-throwing left-hander allowed no runs on 3 hits over 8 innings of work.
"I got in a good groove," said Bernal. "I was getting some swings and misses."
