Toronto got a strong outing from Spencer Jones as the Blue Jays defeated the Baltimore Orioles, 5-2, at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. Toronto pitcher Tim Franco got the win, upping his record to 2-0. Hector Aguado got the loss. The Blue Jays have an impressive 24-12 record.
Steve Jordan, the three-time All-Star , had a direct impact on the outcome. Jordan contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the ninth inning to put Toronto up, 2-1.
"This team is on a mission," said Jones, who is one of the clubhouse leaders. "I like our focus."
