Dyer Stars for Dodgers in 7-3 Win
|
The Los Angeles Dodgers knocked off the St. Louis Cardinals, 7-3, at Dodger Stadium. Danny Dyer was a big reason Los Angeles won. The designated hitter was 4 for 4 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Gyu-hyun Kim picked up the win, improving his season record to 3-2. He struck out 7 in 6 innings. Geoff Mooney got the save, the 2nd for him this season.
Los Angeles grabbed the momentum in the bottom of the fifth, when Dyer, who finished 2nd in the NL in extra base hits with 80 in 2046, hit a grand slam home run. His 8th home run of the season put the Dodgers out in front, 7-3.
"Feels good to get the job done," Dyer said after the game.
Their 17-24 record puts the Dodgers last in the National League West Division.
