Orioles Lose Again, 3-1, to White Sox
|
In a tight affair between the Chicago White Sox and the Baltimore Orioles, pitcher Xenophon Valvis was in the zone. The Chicago right-hander helped his team win the game, 3-1. The save was credited to Jacob Taylor, his 11th. The Orioles, now 17-30, have lost 6 straight.
Jonathan Jenkins, who is a two-time All-Star, aided the Chicago cause with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the designated hitter drove in one run.
"The guys seem happy with the win. That's good, I guess," said Valvis.
