Atlanta Braves starter Scott Bernstein was in the groove. He led his team to a win over the Washington Nationals, 7-1. The Braves, at 36-14, have now won 4 straight.

The Braves got a big hit from center fielder Erik Gretzky. In the bottom of the fifth, Gretzky pounded a 3-run home run to right. His 5th home run of the season put the Braves ahead, 6-0.

Gretzky told a Atlanta Daily News reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
