Orioles Handled by Oakland, 7-4
|
Oakland right fielder Jeff Luvisi was a significant contributor in his team's 7-4 triumph over the Baltimore Orioles. He was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for Oakland. Oakland is now 30-21, Baltimore 18-32.
Oakland second baseman Robby Juarez contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the second. With two down, he hit a fastball into center field for a 2-run single. It was his 10th hit of the season and put the Athletics ahead, 3-1.
"We'll put that win in the can," said Luvisi, "and go after the next one."
