Dodgers Topple Astros, 7-5, as Dyer Shines
|
Danny Dyer made an impact in the 7-5 Los Angeles win over Houston. Dyer, who leads the NL in doubles with 14, was 2 for 3 with 2 home runs and was hit by a pitch. He scored 3 runs and drove in 5. Los Angeles has 3 straight wins, Houston 3 straight losses.
With Los Angeles leading 2-1 in the top of the fourth, Dyer hit a changeup from Brian Lynch for a 3-run home run. It was his 13th home run of the season and put the Dodgers ahead, 5-1.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Dyer.
