Angels Fall Short, 7-6, at Baltimore
|
California center fielder Bjoern Waltersson had a good game, even if his team did not. The Angels dropped a 7-6 decision to Baltimore at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. Waltersson went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4. Pat Wiggins was credited with the save for Baltimore, his 1st of the season. The win has Baltimore at 21-33.
Luis Ramos, the Baltimore center fielder, contributed a 2-run single in the bottom of the sixth inning to make the score 7-5, Orioles. For the game, Ramos was 2 for 3 with a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
Orioles manager John Baltimore wasn't all too pleased, despite the win, telling reporters that the performance highlighted some clear areas for improvement moving forward. He refused to be more specific, however. "I'm not gonna publicize our weaknesses," he said. "That stuff stays in the clubhouse."
