Minnesota Gets 6-2 Win
|
The 6-2 Minnesota win over Detroit was due in large part to Harris Vink. The Twins left fielder was 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Detroit now has a 5-game losing streak.
Alex Sandoval, the slick-fielding third baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Sandoval contributed a 2-run single in the top of the fifth inning to put Minnesota up, 3-2.
"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Vink.
