San Francisco Topples Atlanta, 4-2
|
San Francisco rode a fine outing from starter Keith Kidd to victory over the Atlanta Braves at AT&T Park. The final score was 4-2. The winning pitcher was Kidd, now 4-5. He tossed 8 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 6. San Francisco is now 30-27, Atlanta 42-16.
San Francisco took a 2-1 lead on Ryan Doss's 7th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Doss hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Atlanta pitcher Curt Stevens visibly frustrated.
"We'll enjoy this win," said Doss. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
