It doesn't happen very often, but it did for Eddie Serna today -- a 5-hit effort. He went on a rampage at Bowman Field and paced the Crosscutters to a 24-0 win over the Eugene Emeralds.

After his dynamite batting performance, the Williamsport third baseman told reporters that he "just tried to get in a good count and have a good at-bat. That's all I can control."

His philosophy paid dividends today. He slammed 5 hits in 5 tries and put his name in the record book. Eddie Serna doubled in the 1st, walked in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, doubled in the 5th, singled in the 6th, walked in the 8th and walked in a run in the 8th.
