Dominant Performance by Zeller in Miami Win
|
The Miami Marlins picked up a win at Marlins Park, taking down the Boston Red Sox, 2-1. Starting pitcher Link Zeller was a big reason why. Oscar Banda notched his 17th save in 18 chances. The second-place Marlins now have a win-loss record of 34-37.
Zeller, who was born in Statesville, North Carolina, threw 105 pitches over 8 innings, while allowing 1 run.
"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Boston manager Rob Diederichs said following the tough loss.
