Miami Gets Riveting Walk-Off Win
|
The home squad pulled out a thrilling walk-off win.
The Miami Marlins beat the Atlanta Braves, 6-5, at Marlins Park. Miami shortstop Roger Salazar had an outstanding performance. He was 2 for 4 with 2 singles and a walk. Miami is now 36-39, Atlanta 53-24.
The Marlins relied on first baseman Mike Gar for the game-winning hit. And, in the bottom of the tenth, he delivered, hitting a run-scoring double to seal the deal.
"I like the grit of this ballclub," Gar said.
