Phillies Take Down Pirates, 6-5
|
Philadelphia third baseman Josh Hensley played a vital role in his team's 6-5 triumph over Pittsburgh. He belted 3 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored three times for Philadelphia. Omar Orosco, credited with the win, is now 2-3. He allowed no runs on no hits. Philadelphia is 33-46 and Pittsburgh, with the loss, 48-32.
The Phillies procured the win, in large part because of designated hitter Ryan Trombley. In the bottom of the tenth, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said Hensley.
