Baty K's 12 En Route to 8-4 Nationals Win
Washington Nationals starter Kerry Baty was in fine form against the Cincinnati Reds at Great American Ball Park, leading his team to a win, 8-4. David Sly closed the game out for Washington, earning his 15th save. Washington's record now stands at 36-46, placing them third in the National League East Division.

Baty, a native of Sandy Springs, Georgia, was dealing all game. He kept Cincinnati hitters off-balance, while giving the Nationals 7.2 quality innings. Baty threw 113 pitches, allowing 3 hits and striking out 12.

"I had a good game plan," said Baty. "I made my pitches." His manager concurred. "It was all there," Mike Shore said, "the velocity, the sharpness of his pitches."
