Cardinals Dealt 3-0 Loss by Milwaukee
|
In a low-scoring clash between Milwaukee and St. Louis, pitcher Danny Lawson was a difference-maker. The left-hander earned accolades in the 3-0 win. Lawson picked up the win for Milwaukee, going 5.2 innings. He gave up no runs on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 2-2. Timóteo Metzener, credited with the save, is now 7 for 8 in save opportunities.
Kisho Ito, who finished 5th in the NL in stolen bases with 43 in 2045, chipped in for Milwaukee with a solo home run in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the second baseman had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 1 RBI.
"I felt we were ready to go," said Milwaukee manager Andy Pafko III. "Our pregame was pretty good."
The Brewers go to 34-50 with the win.
