Brewers Shut Out Twins, 7-0
|
Milwaukee and Minnesota got after it at Miller Park.
The Milwaukee Brewers beat the Minnesota Twins, 7-0, at Miller Park. Eric Klasek, in particular, was impressive. He was 2 for 3 with a home run, while scoring 2 and driving in 4. Lewis Thorpe Jr. got the win, improving to 4-2. He held the Twins to no runs on 2 hits over 6 innings, while striking out 7 and walking 2.
With Milwaukee leading 4-0 in the bottom of the second, Klasek came up to bat against Minnesota pitcher Ted Mosley. Klasek hit a cutter to center for a 3-run home run. His 11th home run of the season put the Brewers on top, 7-0.
Klasek called winning a team effort. "It's not the same guy every time," he said. "It's the sum of the parts."
Milwaukee now has a 5-game win streak.
