California right fielder Micah Miller was sensational. He was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once, but it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Houston beat the Angels, 4-3. The 4th-place Astros raised their record to 36-57.

Houston used the timely hitting of Bryce Hill to capture the win. The left fielder socked a 3-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Astros ahead, 4-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.

Hill called the triumph "a good team win."
