Mariners Bridle Rangers, 2-1
|
The Texas Rangers wasted an impressive 7-inning effort from starter Ragnar Danielsson, falling 2-1 to the Seattle Mariners at Safeco Field. The last-place Mariners now have a win-loss record of 42-63.
The Mariners got an important contribution from second baseman Malik Brookshire, who in the bottom of the fifth hit a splitter into right for a 2-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Mariners ahead, 2-1.
"Both teams played hard," said Seattle manager Aaron Schiff.
