The Oakland Athletics downed the Los Angeles Dodgers, 9-6, at Dodger Stadium. Muneo Kawachi led the way, going 5-for-6 for Oakland. Los Angeles's current losing streak is now 5 games.

The game was at a stalemate until left fielder R.J. O'Brien came to bat in the top of the tenth. Facing Los Angeles pitcher J.P. Blair, he hit a 2-2 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Oakland on top, 6-5.

"Our team showed some resilience," said Kawachi.
