Braves Earn 3-2 Win Versus Marlins
The Atlanta Braves did just enough to secure a victory over the Miami Marlins, 3-2, at Turner Field. Nobody did more than pitcher Curt Stevens. Atlanta leads the National League East Division by 26½ games.

Erik Gretzky was 1-2 with a double and a walk for Atlanta. The two-time Great Glove Award winner had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Oscar Banda. It was his 70th RBI of the season.

"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Gretzky said.
