The California Angels picked up a win at Angel Stadium of Anaheim, knocking off the Los Angeles Dodgers, 3-2. Starting pitcher Jeff Baker played a key role in the triumph. Baker got the win, improving to 12-10. He allowed 6 hits and walked 0 over 6.2 innings. Baker allowed 1 run. George Poirier recorded the save, his 24th.
In the bottom of the fifth, California left fielder Alain Delhaye had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and two out, Delhaye stroked a run-scoring single to center. It made the score 3-1, California. For the game, he was 2-4 with 2 singles.
"The effort we put into this one paid off," Delhaye said.
The American League West Division-leading Angels have a record of 81-67.
