Angels Drop Mariners, 4-2
|
The California Angels sent the home crowd home ecstatic.
California shortstop Javier Trujillo contributed to his team's 4-2 win over the Seattle Mariners. Trujillo went 4 for 6 with 1 run scored to lead the offensive attack for the Angels. The triumph puts California at 85-69 for the season.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the 15th. With no one out, Trujillo hit a fastball from Rich Ortega for a 2-run home run. The Angels, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
"Our team showed some gumption," said Trujillo. "I like it."
