Southern Brilliant as Brewers Top Mets, 2-0
|
Citi Field hosted a real pitchers' duel.
In a low-scoring contest, Milwaukee pitcher Travis Southern was marvelous in his team's 2-0 win. Victor Munoz closed it out for his 17th save.
Southern scattered 2 hits over 7.1 innings for the Brewers. With the win, Southern moves to 11-13 on the year with 153 strikeouts.
"We take it day by day here," said Southern, "and today was a good one for us."
The Brewers' win now puts them at 73-84.
