California Beats Montreal, 7-4
|
Getting a good performance from shortstop Nick Dunn, the California Angels defeated the Montreal Expos, 7-4. Dunn was 3-4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for the Angels. Harambe Vick, the winning pitcher, improved to 18-5. He pitched 5.2 innings, giving up 3 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 7 and walking 2. California goes to 86-70. The win puts them 4½ games up in their division.
