Angels Deal Athletics 3-1 Defeat
|
O.co Coliseum was the site of the home opener for the Oakland Athletics. The contest featured a prime matchup between Jonathan Jackson of the visiting California Angels and Franklin Rojas of the Athletics. The final score was 3-1, the Angels getting the win. Franklin Rojas turned in the best performance.
Preston Deakyne, the 28-year old third baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Deakyne contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put California up, 2-1.
"The hot tub feels extra good after a solid win," said Deakyne.
