Tulk Hot, Fireflies Cold
|
Magic was in the air and on the mound at ONEOK Field today as Bill Tulk held the Columbia Fireflies spellbound in his 4-0 shutout victory. The Tulsa Drillers pitcher went the distance, rang up 7 strikeouts, walked 2 and held the Fireflies to 3 hits to garner the win.
"He just had us in his thrall," Columbia manager Tyler Lyons said later. "We couldn't put anything together against him."
So far this year Tulk has compiled a 5-3 record with a 1.36 ERA.
