Mariners Edge Tigers, 1-0
|
The Seattle Mariners picked up a win at Safeco Field, taking down the Detroit Tigers, 1-0. Starting pitcher Lance Crumpton was a big reason why. Victor Cervantes closed it out for his 3rd save. The Mariners raised their record to 5-2.
Jerrod Cluck drove in one run for Seattle. The 28-year old left fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the second. With one out and a runner on 3rd, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Caleb Franklin. It was his 3rd RBI of the season.
"It feels good to get this one," Cluck told the Seattle Citizen.
