Mariners Lose to White Sox, 7-1
|
The Chicago White Sox topped the Seattle Mariners by the score of 7-1, with the largest share of the credit going to first baseman Jon Solano. Solano went 2-4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the White Sox. Earning his 4th save for Chicago was Jacob Taylor. Early on, the White Sox, at 13-3, have played an impressive brand of baseball.
Leo Navarro hit a 2-run home run off Lance Crumpton in the bottom of the fourth, which put the White Sox ahead, 2-1. In addition to the homer, Navarro had 1 double, while going 2 for 4.
Solano called the win "a team effort."
