Tigers, Putnam Deal Royals 3-1 Setback
|
Detroit picked up a win at Kauffman Stadium, toppling the Kansas City Royals, 3-1. Pitcher Eric Putnam was one of the reasons the Tigers triumphed. The Royals fall to 7-10 and continue their lackluster start in 2049.
Putnam, the Detroit right-hander, went 7 innings, allowing 1 run on 2 hits. He collected 10 strikeouts.
"I just made my pitches," said Putnam, "and the ball kept missing the bat."
