Angels Lose to Twins in Walk Off
|
The Minnesota Twins faced a tough opponent in California pitcher Jeff Baker, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Target Field by a final score of 4-2. Baker went 6.1 innings and allowed 1 run. Reliever Matt Lundy picked up the win. His record improves to 1-0. Erick Vazquez took the loss. Despite the win, Minnesota, now 6-15, is off to a terrible start.
Matt Dunn was the walk-off hero for Minnesota. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Twins catcher hit a dramatic 2-run home run to send the teams home.
"We put it together today and came out with the win," Dunn said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
