Royals Handled by Baltimore, 3-1
|
Jimmy Silveira IV pitched well, but his team, the Kansas City Royals, still dropped a 3-1 decision to the Baltimore Orioles at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. The Royals fall to 9-12 and continue their lackluster start to the 2049 season.
Baltimore took a 3-1 lead on Robbie Rogers's 9th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Rogers hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Kansas City pitcher Josh Moncada shaking his head.
"Win or lose, we always try to grind it out and stay even-keeled," Rogers said in reaction to the win.
