Nationals Win, 8-1, at Atlanta
|
Atlanta had no answer for Washington Nationals hurler Kerry Baty, who overwhelmed Braves hitters as the Nationals coasted to victory, 8-1. The win puts Washington at 12-15.
Washington relied on the hitting of Dan Fallon to pick up the win. The catcher ripped a bases-clearing triple in the top of the fifth inning to put the Nationals on top, 6-1. For the game, Fallon had 1 triple and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Baty.
