Guardians Win at Boston, 7-4
|
The Cleveland Guardians beat the Boston Red Sox, 7-4. Cleveland pitcher and Chico, California, native Adrian Serratos led the way. The save went to Chris Cohen, his 4th this season. The Guardians, with just their 7th win in 26 games, have played uninspired baseball so far.
Cleveland relied on the hitting of Mike Salmon to pick up the win. The designated hitter clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Guardians on top, 3-0. For the game, Salmon had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Salmon.
