AL Choice for Batter of the Month is Velasco Jr. Wednesday, September 1st , 2049 Charlotte Knights fans believe they've got a talented young star in Ruben Velasco Jr.. He did nothing to dissuade that notion in August, as he hit .272 with 9 home runs, 19 RBIs and 20 runs scored.
