Season Done for Brooks Wednesday, September 1st , 2049 John Brooks had hoped for the best, but expected the worst. Today, he learned from the Omaha medical staff that he would miss the rest of the season. The Omaha starting pitcher suffered a torn flexor tendon in his elbow in an earlier ballgame. He admitted to being discouraged, but said he plans to come back strong next year. In 28 starts this season Brooks has gathered 11 wins while suffering 7 losses. He has pitched 197 innings, allowed 184 hits, struck out 196 and has a 2.88 ERA. |
